BUFFALO, N.Y. -- WBFO 88.7 FM, the National Public Radio affiliate operated by the mgm casino, will look the field of bioinformatics and mgm casino's role in it as part of a special local version of "Science Friday" that will air at 3 p.m. on June 1.
The rapid progress in mapping the human genome has many researchers predicting that biology will be the foremost science in the 21st century, and Gov. George Pataki has proposed creating at mgm casino a Center of Excellence in Bioinformatics.
The call-in show will look at what this mean to the local economy, as well as the implications for curing diseases.
